Triple Diamond Slot Review 2024
Margaret Cooper | February 26, 2023 | Updated on: January 30th, 2024
Triple Diamond is a classic-themed slot from IGT. Launched in 2015, Triple Diamond initially didn’t really get all that much attention from players. Most people aren’t really drawn in by the simple theme and lack of creative symbols and other imagery.
However, even if the theme isn’t immediately appealing, it doesn’t mean the game isn’t worth playing. The game is actually fun to play and promises some gains from our limited experience despite being devoid of a lot of additional features. Return to Player (RTP) and Volatility
Triple Diamond is a medium variance slot with a return-to-player percentage of 96.50%. The RTP percentage is a good average for an online slot. The variance seems pretty high for a classic-themed slot but shouldn’t put you off.
We saw some big wins after a couple of spins. The nine paylines made it seem easy to get wins to cover total bets, which extended total playtime.
Design
As mentioned above, the game uses a classic theme. Thus, it has three reels, nine paylines and limited visual imagery. The nine paylines make it a little easier to get wins that cover your losses, especially as you can get multiple wins at once.
Graphically, the game looks good, but we can’t really tell you why it is called Triple Diamond. Aside from the wild symbol, which is the game’s diamond logo, the title has nothing to do with diamonds at all.
Gameplay
Here is a quick run-through of the simple gameplay in Triple Diamond:
Symbols
Triple Diamond uses bars, a red seven and a logo image for its symbols. The lowest paying combination is any combination of the three bars, which pays 5x. The highest paying combination is the wild symbol, which pays 1199x your bet if you land three on a single payline.
It is important to note that combinations pay left to right and only on lines bet. So we recommend you activate all paylines if possible for the best results.
Bet Range
The game’s bet range is pretty large. It starts at about $0.10 per payline and climbs to $27.50 per payline. This means that a maximum bet on the game is around $250 per spin. That’s not a bad range for a simple three-reel game and should meet most players’ needs.
Bonus Features
Triple Diamond only has a single bonus feature – a wild symbol. The wild symbol can be used to complete winning combinations. However, it also multiplies your winnings.
A single wild symbol triples your winnings when it appears in a winning payline. Two wild symbols on a payline will multiply your winnings by 9x. Landing all three wild symbols on a payline triggers the game’s jackpot, so you should always be hoping to land three wilds.
Triple Diamond Final Rating
We played Triple Diamond a couple of times and had both very good and very bad sessions, which is expected with a medium variance game. We think that players need to look at Triple Diamond for what it is – an ode to a simpler time in slot gaming.
You won’t find ridiculous bonus games and confusing flashing lights and sound here. While this may be a turnoff for some players, sometimes you want a modest game to play.
Triple Diamond isn’t the best 3-reel game out there, but we had fun with it. As such, we have decided to give the game a rating of three out of five. You should at least have a good experience when you play it.
